GLS Berlin, a five-time STAR SCHOOL GERMANY award winner, is led by a dynamic mother-daughter trio. Founded in 1983 as a one-woman show, it is now the only language school in Germany with two on-campus boutique hotels - right in the heart of Berlin.
Every year, more than 5,000 students from 80+ countries join our German courses for adults and teenagers. At GLS, “Where interesting people meet” is more than a motto; it’s a promise. We don’t just teach German - we create a space for you to connect and build friendships that transcend borders.

Who we are
A women-led family business
GLS was founded in 1983 by Berlin entrepreneur Barbara Jaeschke. Today, she continues to lead the company alongside her daughters, Dr. Verena Jaeschke (left) and Dr. Reemda Jaeschke (right).

Το GLS σχολείο γλωσσών σε Βερολίνο έχει λάβει το βραβείο Star School Germany 5 φορές και έχει ανακηρυχθεί SUPER STAR μεταξύ των καλύτερων σχολών ξένων γλωσσών στον κόσμο. Τα βραβεία Star School απονέμονται κάθε χρόνο στο Λονδίνο, από το Study Travel Magazine. Τα βραβεία τιμούν τα καλύτερα σχολεία ξένων γλωσσών παγκοσμίως - με βάση τις αξιολογήσεις περισσότερων από 3000 επαγγελματιών γλωσσικών ταξιδιών από περισσότερες από 60 χώρες.

In 2025, GLS was honoured with the Excellence Award from LanguageCourse.Net, a leading global agency dedicated to helping students find top language courses worldwide.

GLS - "Γερμανικό Σχολείο της Χρονιάς"
Το 2021 το GLS βραβεύτηκε ως «Σχολείο Γερμανικής Γλώσσας της Χρονιάς» από την Ένωση Τουρκικών Γλωσσών Τουριστικών Πρακτόρων στην Κωνσταντινούπολη (UED).
