The School
The Castle School was founded in 1914 and today teaches 330 students in classes of about 17 students each. Of these, 230 are local and 100 are boarding students (60% German, 40% international). The school understands education as a comprehensive and open development in a holistic reform pedagogical tradition. Students are actively supported in perceiving and using their previously unrecognized craft, musical, social and sporting talents. In this sense, the boarding Gymnasium Schloss-Schule Kirchberg is a school of individuality – a school that, as a grammar school with boarding, offers individual paths to a cosmopolitan education.
Each student benefits from an interdisciplinary team which looks after a various aspects of well-being: tutors for academics, boarding mentors for personal matters, and the international team for all other unique needs of foreign students. Students get frequent individual feedback from teachers, daily supervised study hall, foundational courses / individual tutoring, quarterly progress reports and university / career advising.

Accommodation:
Student housing on campus provides all the comforts of home, and the professional boarding staff works tirelessly to ensure a positive and productive experience. The 100 boarding students live in three dormitories in double rooms (grade 12 in single rooms) with shared kitchen, bathroom and common areas. The school provides healthy, balanced meals prepared fresh daily to meet all dietary needs.
The dormitory is open all year round and provides care and activities, except during Christmas and summer vacations.
